Max Gardner was the backbone of KBER as far as I am concerned. When I took over as Program Director, all my previous radio experience had been in Top 40 radio.

Max had been deeply involved with Country Music for decades, and he was kind enough to share his knowledge of the business to help me get off to a running start.

It would have been much harder for me to make it in Country Music radio without his help.
