The Sound Of The City

In the 50s, Johnny Mann wrote and produced a custom radio jingle for KSFO in San Francisco—The Sound of the City. Because the jingle became as popular as the songs that were played on KSFO, Mann decided to make the jingle available to other radio stations. KITE was one of those stations.

In association with Mann, a promotional record was made available to KITE listeners that contained the KITE version of The Sound of the City. Thanks to Mitch Weinberger, you can click here to listen to an excerpt of the KITE version.
